Promising.

I liked the plot. The animation looked like you worked pretty hard on it and I must say this 'series' looks promising. If you need any voice or even additional animation let me know, can't wait to see the next one man.

Cristo responds:

Thanks, if I need an extra voice I will lrt you know, thanks for reviewing.

Pretty Nice.

I was just looking around, getting some blams and saves in and so I came around to this, which actually kept me watching throughout the whole episode. The storyline and narrative drew me in, it was entertaining without being too showy.

I can tell you put a good deal of effort into this, seems like you pulled off mouse drawing really well; it's a pain in the ass to do.

One thing I noticed is that you tried painstakingly to do the perspective manually, which looked decent but also there were parts where it could have been better. If you want to make your scenes really shine, you should check this out:

It really takes the guesswork out of perspective drawing and makes the field of depth a lot more realistic. Something I thought you'd appreciate.

Anyway, I really liked the voice-over, that was one of the aspects that kept me watching the most. The storyline was good too, but I wonder, where are you taking the next episode?

Can't wait to see your work on number 3.

The-Void-Gate responds:

Thank you so much for the comment and watching And thank you for that link Its really going to help :)

Cool.

Pretty funny, the animation was nice. I've noticed you've been doing some of your pose-to-pose inbetweens a lot like Catoblepas, which looks cool.

"It cures cancer!" "Uh, no. It does not. I actually think I have it now." "Well, shit!"

Kyaztro responds:

Yeah, the blurred out in-between. Makes my work a-lot easier.

This was visually intense.

The sketchy style of this prologue was really cool and authentic. Thye limitation of color palette to black and white brought out the dramatic expressions in the characters.

TheBoogley responds:

Thanks Kweaks, I based the drawing style on Käthe Kollwitz, she was an amazingly intense artist from back in the depression. If you like what I did you should check her stuff out.

Whoa dude, this was awesome.

"So... who can leave me the filthiest review?"

<filth>Fuck you you stupid faggot I hope you burn in hell I'm going to call the ASPCA on your ass for animal cruelty, I don't wanna see a half-eaten dog. What is that, pixels? Your flash messed up, dude. You should just quit Newgrounds.</filth>

Okay no but here's the serious review: You're really good when it comes to in-betweening frame by frame, the dog morphing into the cupcake is a great example of that.

When the scene temporarily changed to the Green, zombie-esque version it was a total U-turn in what I see from you. It surprised me, in a really cool shocking way. Then it went back into the innocent version and closed up the animation with it.

The music mix was a really good choice for this song, especially how the pitch reverts to a lower, sort of sinister tone and goes back up to that upbeat piano oldskool.

TheBoogley responds:

cheers Kweaks, the filth section made me quiver, it made me think of all the poor kids who submit something to this site and get smashed by people and never make another animation again.

Timeless Classic.

Holy fuck I haven't even ever reviewed this, it was really cool to be a part of, so here goes a long-ass review:

The Food Shootout was a simple way to pass the time while the movie was loading, made the time go by faster.

TheBoogley: Your fbf is absolutely kick-ass. The Robot Chicken part was cool because of the animation and the fact that you didn't keep your username static. The banana peeling himself is nice because he's so damn happy. He's peeling away a burden in his life and starting anew. The mexican food was really nice with the sync and overall 'fiesta' vibe.

BornToByte: The apple part was pretty funny, I liked how its arms rotated with the kazoo or whatever and how he changed with the words. The mega mango was pretty funny as well, I enjoy fake movie trailers. I liked the renegade muffin for mostly the same reasons as the apple part.

BudGPStudios: Your part was looking good, too bad you didn't finish it. Nice Far Side reference.

Frameslinger: Your animation was very clean and thin-lined, which was good on the eyes. I did the audio work for you, and I probably could have done better. Oh well...

Gatling: It was interesting to see the world from a carrot's point of view; until it was pulled out of the ground. The chewing noises made me laugh.

Kweaks: (Shit that's me) Overall the animation was pretty okay, the use of audio was nice. The lip-syncing was akward at parts, though.

Lard-Lad: You made a loop, wasn't bad. Nice little chill intermission in the collab.

MarcyVF: Liked the ketchup word pun. The animation was cool, the background was sketched pretty cool too.

MarkyLyne: Pokemon skit was nice, could have used different audio. The texture in the "Pizaaa" part looked good. I remember seeing you showing multiple previews of the third one, it turned out great.

Morrowdays: Liked the bouncy animation.

Nicholas Deary: The music was pumpin', and the toast was jumpin'! (lame rhyme) anyways, the pixel style really added some variety to the collab.

Revels: Simple part, liked the addition of freeform jazz.

Satan112: Interesting part, nice shading on the apples.

Slodd: Great quality in your parts. The breakfast part was cool, looks like Boogley with a blue nose is on the wall. The guy doing shrooms was trippy, and the slug part was humorous, sort of stereotypical but not in a bad way.

SteelSoldier: First part was pretty good, the audio could be better though. The second one was randomly funny.

TommyVF: Just like your brother's part, yours was animated good. The suicidal pineapple made me laugh; the crowd was getting all riled up over him.

Trung: Was synced well to the audio but could have been more hand-drawn. Very geometric, with thin black lines.

xHeavyMetalx: Pretty okay animation, could have been more refined but it wasn't bad. I liked the 'dicks' hat.

Well, I guess that's all of the parts. This was the first major collab that I was a part of, and it has inspired me greatly. Sometime over this summer I'll start a collab up as original as this one.

Love you.

TheBoogley responds:

You've made my day brother, that's a hell of a review!
You have peeled away the burden in my life. :3

You got me

SPOILER ALERT

It wasn't until you started talking about the tutorial again that I realized I was listening to a loop.

ForNoReason responds:

HAHA! You fell into my....trap? But yeah the loop thing has been fixed!

Nice

I found it interesting.
I wish I could make music happen when I danced.

Also:
"while riding my bike... well not then but you get the idea."
I once read a newspaper while riding a bike. No joke. :p

TheBoogley responds:

did you survive? {:0

Excellent.

I really like this one. It's short and sweet with stylin' animation.
I really dig the part where the person is sinking in the sea and the sunken ship glows red to the beat, and before you know it you have some sort of sea creature pop in from the side and say "What's Up?"

The flying animation was also really nice.

They say that creations like this require 1 part inspiration to 99 parts perspiration. Now I'm inspired.

Kuoke responds:

Glad I could.

Nicely Done

Good ol'fashioned Boggley FBF work. Maybe I can amount to this someday.

TheBoogley responds:

you can amount to more! :D

It's been a while. There's a lot of my content on here that I'm not happy with, though it sure does give a lot of perspective on how my skills have developed.
